The Philadelphia Flyers have signed goaltender Aleksei Kolosov to a three-year entry-level contract. According to CapFriendly, the contract will have an average annual value (AAV) of $925,000.

Kolosov spent the 2022-23 season with Dinamo Minsk in the Russian Continental Hockey League (KHL). He was 13-21-5 with a 2.55 goals-against average and .912 save percentage in 42 appearances. The 21-year-old spent his career with Dinamo Minsk’s program and made his KHL debut in 2020-21; that same season, he was named Belarusian Young Player of the Month for December. At just 18, he became the youngest goalkeeper in Dinamo team history to record a shutout win with a 22-save performance.
During the 2021-22 campaign, Kolosov again started at the KHL level; he also represented Belarus at the IIHF Division IA World Junior Championship, where Belarus won gold, gaining promotion to the top division. Kolosov was named best goalkeeper and best player of the WJC U20 team (D1A). He also donned the Belarus jersey at the 2019-20 World Junior U18 Championships, where he won a bronze medal.
The Flyers originally selected the Minsk, Belarus product number 78 overall in the 2021 NHL Draft. Kolosov was ranked the 2nd best European goaltender available by NHL Central Scouting ahead of the 2021 NHL Draft.
