After a very successful first season, the Thunder naturally extended Josh Giddey until 2024. The Australian was among the best rookies last season, averaging 12.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.4 assists.
The leaders also activated the options of Tre Mann and Aleksej Pokusevski, who will therefore still be in Oklahoma City for two more years.
Mann is also coming off a good first year in the NBA, averaging 10.4 points scored in 23 minutes. He took a few weeks to adapt, but with more confidence and more consistent performances, he managed his second half of the season.
For Pokusevski, his second year in the NBA was more nuanced than the previous one. The 17th choice of the 2020 Draft is still physically tender and only averaged 7.8 points, less than during his rookie season (8.2).
