Everton attacking midfielder Alex Iwobi, whose contract expires in June 2024, has started talks for a possible contract extension with the Toffees.
Frank Lampard, during a pre-match press conference against Everton, confirmed the existence of discussions between his leaders and his midfielder, Alex Iwobi. The latter, who arrived at the Toffees in 2019 from Arsenal, is under contract until June 2024: « I know that Kevin [Thelwell, directeur du football] speaks with the people of Alex on an extension of his contract » said the Toffees manager reports Sky Sports.

For the moment the discussions between Alex Iwobi and Everton leaders continue constructively and to a good end. But for the moment Frank Lampard remains cautious: “We will see how it will develop” he added. The 26-year-old attacking midfielder, who is the nephew of Jay-Jay Okocha (ex Bolton and PSG), has 10 appearances to his name this season in all competitions (1 goal, 4 assists).
