Last night the New York Yankees were looking for a great team victory. In a game against the Orioles that went to the 11th inning, the lead often changed hands.
It was finally on the count of 7-6 that it ended. Gleyber Torres hit two long balls, but it was Jose Trevino who caught the eye with a game-winning hit.
He did it on his father’s birthday, who passed away a few years ago. It was very touching to see him talk about it after the game.
And with all that, the Yankees became the first team in 2022 to go for 30 wins.
Unfortunately for the Yankees, Giancarlo Stanton was injured in the win. He will have an MRI today to find out more.
The Yankees will need all their resources to stay at the top of the division since it’s not going to be easy.
The Rays, in the shadows, continue to work well. The Blue Jays got the offense back on track last night. For the past two weeks, the Red Sox have been among the good teams in MLB.
A 16-3 victory against the White Sox, it is underlined.
Currently, the Yankees are 4.5 games ahead of the Rays. The two teams will face each other over the weekend.
After the 1/4 of the season, the division meets expectations.
